Petty perfection, another Goldilocks geometry, with extreme forging making this both stiff and laser like performance. Plenty of knuckle clearance making this the perfect precision all rounder.
I’ve developed my geometry over 15 years, to me it’s the perfect balance of control with low friction. The thin hollow forging allows a narrow thin lower bevel, low friction and fantastic food release, perfect tapers both ways transfer stiffness all the way from the thick spine to the ultra thin tip.
Steel is pure iron clad and c105, a pure carbon steel, no alloy whatsoever, this steel was made in the 1980’s and it’s amazing what it can do, just by being so clean, low impurity it’s so edge stable at full hardness, yet glassy hard. Joy to use and on the stones.
