213mm Petty-suji, forged geometry , high grade handle
Another gorgeous Large petty, generous knuckle clearance , perfect compact precision all rounder😊
This iteration of my forged geometry are the most extreme yet, very thick at the spine yet carrying that stiffness through into very fine geometry , they are somewhat of an enigma in this way. Stiff lasers, but with that control of cut, with perfect food release. The thin even forging means a low bevel, low friction, whilst maintaining decent feeling of weight and stiffness from the spine. Very special feeling of cutting, very easy to maintain on the stones also as lower surface area to thin and polish. The core steel helps too, it’s old stock c105, a very clean carbon steel, with no alloy, it releys solely on its low impurity in its quality, it is just iron and carbon, that’s it. The performance is lovely, extremely edge stable at full glassy hardness, a joy to use and a joy on the stones.
This one has one of nicest pieces of cocobolo in my stash, with green stab maple up front.
