This one off Petty is in my Damascus clad made for polishing. A very involved mix of steel and wrought and iron, some canon barrel for manganese folded until the carbon is equalised, then folding in a fine mix of nickel/ iron, the cladding is twisted and welded up over old stock c105. Water quench as always.
I forged and ground this a a workhorse geometry knife, with a beautifully convex bevel to nothing at the edge. Its excels at food release and great control of cut, to really enjoy your food prep. The bevels are polished all the way on this one finishing with a Nakayama finger stone then some more contrasty slurry mixed in.
The handle and bolster are of exceptional fit and finish, in ironwood and blued twisted Damascus from the same batch for the bolster.
