Gorgeous sturdy little petty paring in my Ku Damascus magic.
This is forged geometry, surface carefully prepared for clay, then just the right conditions in my kiln to form hard black iron oxide on the iron, leaving the nickel shiny. Very challenging and end result is very practical.
This little petty has a sturdy taper and strong thin edge geometry for robust in hand tasks, with just enough height for some board work.
Again we have Japanese domestic white 1 at the core, crispy hard.
I gave this one an oval Bocote handle, generous length, nice hand forged copper bolster.
