Not everyone likes the textures inherent in fully forged pieces so this is partially forged then fully ground in my Stainless san mai, sc125 carbon core with a pure nickel carbon barrier. Best of both worlds, stainless cladding and full carbon sc125 core like an even cleaner version of white 1 made in small batches by Achim wirtz in germany. At 65hrc takes a super fine edge showing no distortion and excellent edge holding at these hardnesses. This is a fun on Suji geometry, quite thick and stiff on the spine, convex throughout and as thin as it gets on the edge, for perfect controlled slicing. I have dresses it in my standard and very attractive wenge and copper wa combination to make this piece somewhat affordable. Just a fantastic and true workhorse combination.
