I was given a small quantity of this steel to try as a gift. This is one of the very few pieces I have made from it. It is water quenched and used at full stable hardness, around 65hrc. Wonderful steel and like butter on the stones even at full hardness.
This is in san Mai, plain steel clad/ white one core.
Double compound bevels with a natural stone finish. And buffed forge finish.

Blade Length - 275mm
Height - 43mm
Thickness entering handle 3.8mm
Taper on spine from above heel to 10mm from tip - 3.5mm/1mm
Blade has no flex, fully convex, as usual very thin at the edge, very low angle and microbevel.
Handle is in Maple, Split white ferrule with black buffalo horn highlighted by red and brass spacers.
Handle length - 148mm
Balance is heel plus 10mm
