Fantastic forged geometry knife, centre of the knife is forged relatively thin,spine is nice and chunky at the heel with a beautifully forged taper. With just the lower bevel ground this sets up the perfect geometry for feel of cut and release but very little friction, very nice cutter, see the video.

This is a carbon san mai, soft steel clad, not as reactive as iron, but will patina, core is very high carbon tungsten steel, super fine grain and full hardness 65hrc.

thickness at heel on spine - 4.5mm tapering to 1.2mm 25mm behind the tip
Thickness of steel at the top of the ground bevel on the heel is 1.5mm tapering evenly throughout.
Handle is in wenge and red palmera with a red spacer handle length 14.3cm
Knife balances 10mm ahead of the heel.
