This was entirely forged to shape from the amazing sc125 steel, very similar to white 1, even cleaner. The hamon turned out incredible with lots of clouds and activity. In contrast to my usual work, this is a light knife, Its around medium thickens at the heel, 3mm or so but the taper is extreme and this blade does have flex for the last third. The blade is also thin ground, and has perfect release and cuts like a laser. I made this one with a relatively fine handle with a small fish tail. I used desert ironwood for the scales, the most stable wood I know of as well as beautiful and hard wearing. The rivets are not just for show they are properly riveted nickel silver, making the handle really robust. So if you would like a lighter knife with fantastic geometry still, this is for you.
